Students from Newtown Friends School’s 7th and 8th grades recently embarked on an unforgettable cultural and language immersion trip to Costa Rica, deepening their understanding of global citizenship, sustainability, and community.
Building on earlier studies of continents, geography, environments, and culture—including their deep exploration of the South American rainforest—students expanded their research, mapping, and comparison skills to better understand how geography, beliefs, and natural resources shape culture.
